I reported bug upstream and ended up talking to the maintainer [0]. The bug is already known to him and he recommends simply making libwmf a runtime dependency of imagemagick [1].

What is this bundle group? Does it allow to install bundles?

Anyway, I think all my files should be set jmss:users.]]>

FS#434: Tribe won't allow one to install on a GPT without the bios_grub flag Olivier Tilmans Tue, 08 May 2012 14:02:04 +0000
$ sudo gdisk /dev/sda
GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 0.8.4

Partition table scan:
MBR: hybrid
BSD: not present
APM: not present
GPT: present

Found valid GPT with hybrid MBR; using GPT.

Command (? for help): x

Expert command (? for help): p
Disk /dev/sda: 234441648 sectors, 111.8 GiB
Logical sector size: 512 bytes
Disk identifier (GUID): BC67EDDA-8404-8948-8C56-0960CF824B94
Partition table holds up to 128 entries
First usable sector is 34, last usable sector is 234441614
Partitions will be aligned on 8-sector boundaries
Total free space is 268405 sectors (131.1 MiB)

Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name
1 2048 409599 199.0 MiB EF02

3 132880384 162174975 14.0 GiB 0700
4 162177024 234440703 34.5 GiB 0700

Expert command (? for help): o

Disk size is 234441648 sectors (111.8 GiB)
MBR disk identifier: 0x0D58BD8B
MBR partitions:

Number Boot Start Sector End Sector Status Code
1 1 409639 primary 0xEE
2 409640 132616991 primary 0xAF
3 * 132880384 162174975 primary 0x83
4 162177024 234440703 primary 0x07

Basically, if I don't erase my 0xEE partition and split it in 2 (unformatted+bios_grub flag & 0xEE), Tribe won't allow me to proceed to the next step (install).
However, this is a valid scheme for grub-install to work with, might be a bug or undocumented, but it works on my setup. I've lost/corrupted that partition scheme enough time to know that
"sudo grub-install --boot-directory=/mnt/sda3 /dev/sda" does work and installs grub.

The main issue i have with tribe asking another unformatted partition is that it 'eats' one of the 4 partitions i can have in my hybrid mbr, thus prevents me from making a triple boot for example.]]>

FS#430: jack misses firewire support Jakob Lund Sun, 06 May 2012 21:29:25 +0000
jackd: unknown driver 'firewire'

When building jack, libffado is sort of a "hidden dependency". Firewire support will turn itself on if it's installed, but there won't be an error message if they're missing (there'll just be no firewire support then).

To fix: install libffado on the build system before building jack.]]>

FS#429: KDevelop 4.3.1 crashes frequently Steven Sroka Wed, 02 May 2012 03:21:10 +0000
I figured out that one reason was a kdelibs bug that affects KToolBar: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=296622

Unfortunately, that is not the only reason. I now notice that when I'm working in the editor KDevelop crashes. I can't elaborate much further because the backtrace I get is useless. I can try to get a Valgrind log when KDevelop crashes next.

The last time a crash happened, it occured when I pressed ctrl+s]]>
