DetailsA bug accidentally introduced in ICU causes rendering failure in indic language (specifically Malayalam) text being converted to pdf using kile. Compilation of the tex file is done with the help of xetex which comes bundled with texlive-most. The bug causes some post based symbols in ligates to shift to pre based positions.
Here is the bug report in ICU: http://bugs.icu-project.org/trac/ticket/8198#no3 They haven't fixed it for long. Can we have a distro specific fix so that, xetex is compiled against the bug free ICU?
