Detailsi have to edit the menu at boot and remove the line:
gfx....=keep otherwise the system "sounds" to boot but the screen, very early, turn black and never wakeup. I've Radeon card, agp, hd 4670. snip from glxinfo: direct rendering: Yes server glx vendor string: SGI server glx version string: 1.4 client glx vendor string: Mesa Project and SGI client glx version string: 1.4 client glx extensions: OpenGL vendor string: X.Org OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD RV730 OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 7.11.2 OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20 [alex@r3d3 ~]$ lsmod | grep radeon radeon 754399 4 grub2 is new to me so don't know how to simply remove permanently this line and cannot tell you more... |

Is this bug still true after the new GRUB 2 builds? Is anybody able to confirm this issue?

I could never reproduce on 3200 or 4200 radeon cards, so obvious no change here.
